Order drops are decided in:
- Current enemy level Rare Drop table, discs particular to that enemy
- Next lower level Rare Drop table
- Current class 1-3* weapons, current class discs
- Common equipment: units, recovery items, grinders, synthesizers
- Current area drop: room goods
- Meseta (boss drops stop here)
- If none of the above, no drop (common enemies only)
XQ ore, AQ Stones, and Planetary stones are separate drops; they can drop concurrently with another item dropped by that enemy.
Enemy drop tables
When an enemy is defeated the first drop chance is decided by the enemy's current level. Higher level enemies have a chance
of dropping items that they would at a lower level. For example, I want to find a Star Hand. It is dropped by Lv31 or higher Wolgarda.
For a Lv43 Wolgarda, the first drop check on defeat is the Lv41-45 table. The first checks that occur are Coat Edge, Wolgarda Hand,
and Cress Digger. If any of those fail, it moves down to the next table, Lv36-40. This means a Lv43 Wolgarda has two chances to drop
Cress Digger, but only one chance to drop Star Hand.
For a Lv40 Wolgarda, the first drop check on defeat is the Lv36-40 table. The first checks that occur are Star Hand and Cress Digger.
If those fail, the next check is in Lv31-35 table, which also includes Star Hand and Cress Digger. This means a Lv40 Wolgarda has a
Lv. | Main drop | Drop in all difficulties |

Lucky Rise (5%, 7%, 10% depending on level) and Temptation (10%) slightly raise the Rare Drop Rate (ability description changed from 'Item Drop Rate' as of Episode 4). These abilities have no effect on Emergency Trial rewards.
Fortunate Omen (Vraolet series weapons) raises the chances that, IF a rare weapon is decided to drop, THEN it will be a ?SPECIAL WEAPON and need to be identified (and thus granting at least two ability slots including the one you choose). At level 3, ALL rare weapons are unidentified, with the exception of certain weapons such as rare weapons from red boxes or Mine Defense-exclusive 11*s. It does not increase the Rare Drop rate.
Tactful Training (Madam Umbrella, Nyoibou, Ebony Nyoibou) raises the chances that, IF a weapon or unit is decided to drop, THEN it will have more or higher level abilities. It does not increase the Rare Drop rate.
For both Fortunate Omen and Tactful Training, Zieg now has Client Orders that reward you with a Fortunate Omen/Tactful Training Charm. Once completed, these charms allow you to have Level 3 Tactful Training/Fortunate Omen always active without needing to wield a weapon with these potentials, as long as you have an item with the corresponding potential at any level in your inventory.
Meseta Fever raises the chance that, IF no other item drops but Meseta does, THEN it will add that percentage. For example, if an enemy drops 100 Meseta while Meseta Fever I is equipped, then you will pick up 105 meseta. It does not increase the Meseta drop rate.
The main body and destructible parts have separate drop tables. Falz Elder' body drops only weapons, while destroying the arms only gives the chance for the units to drop.
Destroying enemy parts does not give additional chances for main body drops. For example, breaking Falz upper arms during second phase gives you a chance to find the Rear unit, but does not give an extra chance to find Guld Milla. Breaking Fang Banther's claws gives you a chance to find any of the three Banther units, but does not give an extra chance for Machina Filf (Lv66+) to drop. In the case of Falz Hunar; breaking the sword gives you a chance at Elder Pain, while defeating the main body without breaking the sword does not.
Your quest rank influences how many drops you get. As defeating enemies is required for most missions' S-Rank criteria, you will get less drops from a boss encountered right after a mission begins compared to a boss at the end of the mission. S-Rank gives you the most drops and therefore the most chances at Rare Weapons. Bosses, unlike common enemies, always drop at least Meseta. The minimum number of drops from a boss gem is four.
All drops, except boss gem drops, are decided the moment the enemy runs out of HP; Boss gem drops are decided the moment the gem is broken.
Red Box/E-Trial Destructables Drops
These are affected by rare drop rate boosts, but always dropped already identified.
Mine Defense Clear Drops
Weapons which can ONLY drop during Mine Defense (the 11* Arks Transforming series weapons) will always drop already identified. Other 11* weapons that drop from enemies (11* Lamiashnikov from Lv66+ Wolgarda) or may also be dropped from Dark Falz boss (Elysion, Guld Milla), can drop as unidentified. Remember that during Mine Defense, you get full EXP and drop credit regardless of where you are in relation to enemies when they are defeated or the boss gem is broken. You can be on the other side of the map when a boss gem is destroyed, and the items will still appear in your client and can be picked up.
Rare Enemy Drops
Rare enemies have all of the same drops as their common versions, and some additional drops as well. For example, Dark Agrani can drop Ragne's weapons and units or its own, but Ragne cannot drop Agrani's.
Boosted Enemy Drops
As of a recent update, boosted (darker/photonner infected) enemies have higher Rare Drop rates. The drop rate increase is based on the boost level; Lv1 boost gives a small increase, while Lv3 boosted enemy gives a large drop rate increase.
Class-based Drops
As of the July 17th 2013 update, boss enemies have a higher chance to drop rare weapons that your current class can equip. This is not based solely on the class weapons. For example, Lv61+ Snow Banshee has a higher chance to drop Traitor Linear (10* Sword) for any of the classes that can naturally equip it. That includes Hunter, Ranger, and Techter.
Since the Gunslash is an all-class weapon category, the rare drop rate for specific Gunslash are based on the stat requirement it has. For example, Gunbraver has a slightly higher chance to drop for Hunters and Fighters because it requires S-Atk to equip. Call Cypher has a slightly higher chance to drop for Forces and Techters because it requires T-Atk to equip.
